Order Acceptance
Placing an order through the website is notification that you agree with our terms and conditions. These terms and conditions will be updated occasionally, please check them before making your purchase.

A few important details that you should know
We may not be able to accept your order, or part of your order, due to one of the following reasons:

Authorisation of your payment failed

We made a pricing or product description error

You’re not eligible to order from Signs of the Sea

If there are any problems with an order, you’ll be contacted by us.

Payments must be made in £ Sterling only.

Price
All prices are quoted in £ Sterling.

All prices are exclusive of postage and packaging, unless otherwise stated.

You will be given the total price of the transaction before you complete your purchase. There are no hidden extra costs. In the rare event that an item is incorrectly priced on the web site, Signs of the Sea reserves the right to not supply that item at said price. The normal price will be offered instead.

Security & Payments
Website security is one of our uppermost priorities, therefore we have chosen Paypal to handle our online payment facility. Orders can be paid for using Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Maestro via your Paypal secure account.  You do not have to create a PayPal account to do this.  If you cannot pay via Paypal and would like to pay by cheque, please email us through our Contact Us link with the item/s you would like to order (including reference numbers).  We will then send you an invoice via email including the total to pay, who to make the cheque payable to and the address to send the payment to.  Please note that we will not start work on your order until we have received your cheque and it has cleared.

Passing of Property
Signs of the Sea shall retain legal title to the products until all payment has been made in full by the Customer.

Acceptance
The Customer shall inspect the goods within a reasonable time after their receipt. (This does not however affect the customer’s statutory rights).

Product Portrayal

We have made every effort to display all our products as accurately as possible. However as colours and images vary depending on your own monitor and browser we cannot guarantee that products will be exactly as seen on your monitor. Most products have been described with sizes/lengths given as accurately as possible.

Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission on any page of this website, or in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by us shall be subject to correction without liability on our part.

Delivery

As all of our signs are made to order please so please allow 14 – 21 working days for delivery. All our deliveries where possible are by courier and can therefore be tracked. Deliveries are usually made within working hours and may require a signature. For this reason you may like to provide a secure delivery address where someone will be available to sign. All dispatch times quoted are approximate and are stated in working days [Mon-Fri] excluding Bank Holidays and Weekends.

We currently send to addresses in Mainland UK only. For Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands please e-mail us prior to ordering and we will quote for delivery charges.

There is no overseas delivery available currently.

RETAIL CUSTOMER SITE

CATEGORY A up to 6 items for £5.50 by Courier

7” x 6”, 9” x 6”, 12” x 6”, 8” x 3”, 12” x 3”, 15” x 3”, 18” x 3 ½”, 8” x 5”, 12” x 5”, 15” x 5”

CATEGORY B up to 6 items for £6.50 by Courier

16” x 6”, 21” x 4”, 24” x 4”, 18” x 5”, 9” x 12”, 12” x 12”, 11” x 7”, 15” x 7”

CATEGORY C up to 6 items for £7.50 by Courier

21” x 6”, 23” x 5”, 25” x 6”, 15” x 12”, 18” x 12”, 24” x 12”, 18” x 8”, 24” x 9”

These charges are based on weight and dimensions. If, for example, you order a mix of items that fall into Category A and Category B then you will be charged at the higher rate. The largest or heaviest item will govern the overall cost. Any more than 6 items will cost a flat rate charge of £8.95 by Courier.

Wholesale subject to Minimum Order of either 10 items or £80.00 spend and Registration/Login required.

Return of Parcel due to Failed Delivery

If a parcel is returned to us by the courier following repeated failed attempts to deliver then we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the return delivery charge from any refund amount. A failed attempt will result from the customer not being at home and not having given alternative delivery instructions. It will also result from a customer failing to respond in a timely manner to attempted delivery cards left by the courier.

Returns

We would hope that you are really happy with your purchase. However in the event of goods arriving damaged or not as ordered, please inform us within 7 days of your receipt of goods and we will be happy to replace them. We do ask that you notify us by email detailing the problem of any grievance.

If you need to return an item contact us first and then return in the same condition that it was delivered, packed in its original packaging with labels intact for a replacement or refund.

There are no refunds on any signs where text has been customized, names personalized or bespoke items. Check your spelling, especially for personal & place names as we cannot be held responsible for your mistakes.

Please note that the item is the customer’s responsibility until it gets back to us. Therefore we strongly recommend that you obtain proof of posting as we cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. When returning an item please contact us by email and we will provide you with the address for our premises.

With the exception of faulty items or an error on our part return postage cannot be refunded.

Refunds

Refunds can only be made to the original card of purchase.

Personalised items cannot be refunded or exchanged unless they are faulty.

We will refund your original delivery charge only when a product is faulty or damaged.

Any refund will not be paid until we receive the goods in their original condition.

Refunds will not be paid on items returned after 14 days.

All refunds when agreed will be made within 30 days.

You acknowledge that whilst every effort is made to ensure that all information contained in the Signs of the Sea website is accurate and up-to-date, Signs of the Sea makes no warranty as to its accuracy and you accept that any and all use of information contained on the Signs of the Sea web site is at your own risk. Signs of the Sea shall not be liable for any direct or consequential loss arising from your access to and/or use of or inability to access and/or use the signsofthesea.co.uk web site or any erroneous or omitted information contained on the signsofthesea.co.uk website.
